Avarice

My players recently met Avarice, a somewhat shady Tiefling Sorceress, for the first time. I really liked her design in the published adventure but felt that might give a bit too much away, so I drew this portrait of her to show her in a more neutral light.

For the artwork I started out with a B/W version to get the values right. Throughout this stage I experimented with different hairstyles, accessories and other elements. Once I was happy with the overall impression I added color and a colder hue to the shadows to give it a bit more of a cold feeling – she is in Icewind Dale after all.
